- Description:
- Service Description: Provision of physical servers and professional services (consulting, transportation, delivery, physical installation, commissioning, configuration, hardware licenses, firmware upgrade, machine replication support virtual infrastructures from the old layer to the new infrastructures, support and maintenance) necessary for the acquisition of 7 component nodes of a new virtualization cluster (see section 2 and 3 of the PPT). Also part of the object of the contract is the maintenance of all the technical features of the current ones adding more computational and memory capacity. These requirements are already fixed in the technical specifications of this tender. The current infrastructure of the University of cluster of virtualization in VMware technology in its primary CPD that contains the virtual servers that serve corporate applications. This virtual machine platform is based on a traditional three-layer technology model:- physical servers nodes of a cluster to provide computing capacity and memory, - high-performance external disk cabinet to store the virtual machines, - high-capacity network infrastructures to interconnect the two previous elements with each other and allow the different types of traffic generated by the virtual machines themselves. The equipment supplied has a manufacturer's warranty of 5 years from the date of the receipt of the equipment.
