- Currently, the HCB - and as a representation of the working group, the surgical area (AQ) and the Institute of Internal Medicine and Dermatology (ICMID) - is working on the alert project, with the aim of giving standardized response to the risk of deterioration of the patient in the hospitalization room, Through the use of surveillance systems, given that the possibility of hospitalized patients is essential to reduce their morbidity and mortality. In recent years, a more preventive approach with more early detection has been introduced through the help of technological tools for a Continuous surveillance of the clinical status of the patient that allow: i) improve compliance with the registration of clinical variables in the electronic medical history, ii) Identify patients at risk of automated deterioration24; iii) classify them according to their level of risk, and finally iv) Notify the PPSS when there is worsening of the patient's condition.
