- Description of the provision: The councils, in accordance with art. 26.1 a) From the LRBRL, they must provide the cemetery service. Given the lack of means of local authorities to identify and determine the necessary investments, maintenance tasks and economic management of the cemetery service, theDiputacio de Girona, in the exercise of their functions of attendance and cooperation in the municipalities, supports them, among others, with the study service of the cemetery. The aforementioned service is to provide local entities all the information regarding the current state of the buildings,Constructions and installations of the cemeteries they manage, with the identification and evaluation of all the deficiencies and/or shortcomings they present and the necessary action proposals to amend them. The information referred to aims to facilitate local entities to make related decisionsWith the cemetery service to comply with the criteria of public health and accessibility provided for by current regulations, in addition to the criteria of quality, efficiency and sustainability that is expected of public services, as well as establish a base for the calculation of the maintenance ratethat fits the actual revenue and expenses related to the service.
