The object of the contract consists of the acquisition, installation and commissioning of a high-performance liquid chromatography system coupled to triple quadrupole mass spectrometry (UHPLC/TQ) for the Technical Research Services of the University of Alicante.
This file finds its justification in the need to provide the University of Alicante with a high-performance liquid chromatography system coupled to triple quadrupole mass spectrometry (UHPLC-TQ) that allows substantially expanding and improving the analytical capacity of the Technical Research Services, providing access to cutting-edge technologies essential for the development of multidisciplinary research projects.
Currently, the Mass Spectrometry unit of the Technical Research Services lacks equipment of these characteristics, which represents a significant limitation for the qualitative and quantitative analysis of compounds. non-volatile organics, metabolites and emerging contaminants in a wide variety of matrices, as well as for conducting advanced structural studies and trace level determinations.
