The Vigo Quantum Communications Center needs an Adaptive Optics System that measures the distortion of the incident light and correct it. The incorporation of this system will allow the VQCC to efficiently use the quantum signals arriving from distant satellites.
Furthermore, given the great possibility of synergy between the four groups, this equipment will be beneficial for all groups. Each line of research will be able to use the optical ground station with its Adaptive Optics System to achieve efficient quantum communications in space.
As the center has been created recently, the research center does not yet have anything similar and other solutions do not offer the same performance or compatibility with satellite missions.
