• Currently on the island of Ibiza there is only one fixed ITV station, located at Crta San Miguel, Currently on the island of Ibiza there is only one fixed ITV station, located at Crta San Miguel, four inspection lines, located on a plot of 7,013.41 m2 and two mobile units for the periodic technical inspection of light vehicles that are operating under a service contract. This service was awarded on May 17, 2024, came into effect on July 23, 2024, and will end on July 23, 2027. The Consell Insular d'Eivissa, since the beginning of the previous mobile unit service contract, has been working on a draft Regulation by which the administrative authorization procedure for the provision of the transport service is established. Technical Inspection of Vehicles on the island of Ibiza and its operation is regulated. The ITV service with the fixed station and the two mobile units running does not cover the existing demand, with the waiting time currently being over 4 months delay. If two (2) additional mobile units are not put out to tender to carry out periodic technical inspections of light vehicles, it will not be possible to reduce this waiting time and improve the quality of the service provided to citizens in addition to could compromise the safety of people traveling on the island's roads with vehicles that have not passed the required inspection.
