Law 7/2002, of May 3, creating the Agrarian Technological Institute of Castilla y Leon, points out in its Article 2.1 as objectives, powers and functions, literally: "The Institute will be in charge of the Autonomous Community's own objectives of promoting the activity of the agricultural sector and its transformation industries, through the promotion of technological development and dynamization of initiatives that involve new productive orientations or adaptation to the market and its demands for quality and competitiveness.
Article 2.2 of Law 7/2002 indicates the powers that correspond to it in particular, and among them, letter f) of said provision establishes: "The promotion of agri-food products from Castilla y Leon without prejudice to the powers that the department competent in agricultural and agri-food matters may exercise in this same area."
To meet these objectives, the Institute considers it necessary to participate in different competitions and fair halls.
In this context, the Institute plans to participate in a series of consolidated food fairs and events, with the aim of providing support to agri-food industries so that they can penetrate certain national and commercial marketing circuits. internationally, to which they would not have access on their own.
