• The object of the project is the hydromorphological recovery of a 2.5 km stretch of the Naredo River as it passes through the municipality of Lena (Asturias), running between Pola de Lena and the urban centers of Palacios and Piedracea, and ending in the natural environment of the Ermita de la Flor. It is about of a river system that shows various signs of environmental degradation and, specifically, it is necessary to solve the existence of wastewater discharges, correct discontinuities in the riparian forest, protect the banks, remove rigid linings, review the capacity hydraulics, eliminate obstructions, adapt the existing path and create new routes, and finally create a river park. DE LENA (ASTURIAS) The works are located in a 2.5 km stretch of the Naredo River in the T.M. of Lena, prior to its confluence with the Lena River, specifically between the Ermita de la Flor in the town of Piedraceda, to the town of Pola de Lena, passing through the rural center of Palacios. The purpose of the contract is the execution of a series of actions to mitigate the pressures that This stretch of riverbed suffers in order to improve its ecological state and recover the associated environmental services.
