Description:
the Trust carries out its activities in two buildings, the first is the municipal geriatric center (located at Placa Sant Antoni, 2 Ciutadella de Menorca) and the second building is the municipal day center (located at Carrer Oristano, 20, Ciutadella de Menorca). For their normal operation, these buildings they must have the necessary facilities, properly executed and in the appropriate conditions of maintenance and conservation, to guarantee a good service and the safety of their users.
Article 25 of Law 7/1985, Regulating the Bases of the local regime (LBRL), indicates the subjects that municipalities must exercise their own powers. Among these, paragraph 25.2 a) includes the conservation of the building, and paragraph 25.2 d) includes municipally owned equipment.
The administrations have the duty to preserve and improve the goods in their ownership, as i as provided in article 29 h), of Law 20/2006, of December 15, municipal and local regime, which indicates that the ownership of goods entails the obligation to conserve and improve them, and if, by their nature, the goods are subject to sectoral regulation, the local bodies must make the acts of administration, conservation and promotion determined by special legislation...)
