- Please note that this is not a call for tenders but a publication announcing the Contracting authority-s intention to publish a future negotiated low or middle valueprocedure. Since 2004, the Joint Research Centre (JRC), Directorate B, has produced the EU Industrial R&D Investment Scoreboards. These reports describe and analyse corporate R&D investment data Scoreboard data and provide additional information on the positioning of leading R&D investing companies in relation to other key indicators of relevance for industrial innovation policy and industrial R&D efforts. The publication of the Scoreboard each December since 2004 intends to raise awareness of the importance of R&D for businesses and to encourage firms to disclose information about their R&D investments and other intangible assets. The data for the Scoreboard come from companies- publicly available audited accounts. The main objective of this contract is to conduct a pilot exercise for data validation and cross-check for the 2024 EU Industrial R&D Investment Scoreboard, to be published in December 2024. Based on data provided by the JRC, several indicators should be validated for accuracy and eligibility, verified and complemented. Moreover, this work involves cross-checking the data to establish a coherent and comprehensive final dataset, including small additional verifications after publication of the data in the December 2024 Scoreboard report.
