Description:
Due to the passage of years and the normal operation of the Pedrera DWTP, both the structure and the existing facilities therein have suffered deterioration that considerably affects the concrete, reinforcement of the structures and rest of the metallic elements of the hydraulic infrastructure. The levels of oxidation that these metallic elements present are considerable, which is why accumulations of sludge occur in various DWTP infrastructures, as well as incrustations and oxidations that must be eliminated in order to avoid aged sludge and prevent legionellosis. For this reason, the execution of the necessary actions is planned to adapt the by-passes, hoods and sludge purge of the decanters at the La Pedrera DWTP.
