- The global object of the contract contemplates the following specific objectives:
• Substantially increase the calculation capacity with respect to the current machine, which dates back to 2013 and is reaching the end of its useful life.
• Provide the new machine for the latest versions of processors and with a total number of chores considerably higher than the current one.
• Include in the calculation nodes both the RAM and the storage of data necessary so that the calculation jobs are executed efficiently.
• Provide the system with a robust architecture and communications networks Fast enough, both internally and in its connection abroad.
• Achieve an important improvement in the ratio between calculation power and energy consumption with respect to the current machine.
• Incorporate an energetically efficient refrigeration system that avoids the appearance of Hot points that can damage the system.
• Remove and replace the current Neptune cluster with this new supercomputing infrastructure
