• To carry out the tasks entrusted to this Agency based on article 94 of the current consolidated text of the Water Law, approved by Royal Legislative Decree 1/2001, of July 20 (TRLA), the Water Commission has a Laboratory analysis of water quality, located in the Water House (Santomera reservoir) with the necessary equipment for the control of wastewater, continental water, biota and sediment. However, the personnel assigned to the Agency's Laboratory is manifestly insufficient. The execution of the functions entrusted by the regulations requires a Laboratory that, both instrumentally and organizationally, can assume the assigned functions. In this way, for the maintenance of the activities of the laboratory, the existence of a technical service that, on a continuous basis, undertakes actions for the control and protection of the hydraulic public domain, and the maintenance of ENAC accreditation according to the UNE-EN ISO/IEC 17025 standard. It must be taken into account that the consolidated regulations for the protection and control of water quality applicable at national and community level, it is also under constant review and adaptation to new requirements environmental and administrative in a general framework of climate change that requires continuous improvement of the Laboratory's operation with the essential supervision of the Director of the works (Laboratory Manager...
