• Description of the benefit: The obligation to present a PIGSS for the Olot sanitation system has been established by resolution TER/4244/2024, of November 23, (DOGC 9302, of December 2, 2024), of the Director of the Catalan Agency of Water, which approves the inventory of public sanitation systems that must draw up a comprehensive management plan for the sanitation system (PIGSS). The drafting obligation rests with the holder of the discharge authorization, in this case the Council Comarcal de la Garrotxa, but all sanitation infrastructures (high and low) are included. This implies shared responsibilities in the same sanitation system: La Garrotxa Regional Council for the high network and each of the Town Councils with regard to the downstream network that are connected to the upstream system. The current upstream public sanitation system in Olot is made up of 11 pumping stations, 25 km of collector and with the final treatment plant located in the Ctra. of the Feixes of the municipality of Olot. The The system as a whole serves the following municipalities: Vall d-en Bas, Les Preses, Olot, Santa Pau, Sant Joan les Fonts and Vall de Bianya, with 192 km of municipal sewerage. For all the reasons stated, it is necessary to contract the service for a the preparation of the comprehensive management plan for the sanitation system (PIGSS) of Olot, which constitutes the object of the contract.
