- CERN N_TOF installation is the source of neutrons with greater instant intensity for the measure of neutron effective sections. The CEMAT nuclear innovation unit together with other Spanish groups (IFIC-CSIC, UPC and US), participate in the N_TOF collaboration of CERN.
the linesActivity proposed by the CIEMAT contemplate the construction and use of new detectors for the measure of effective sections in the experimental areas EAR2 and NEAR of N_TOF. The inclusion of these detectors in the experiments requires the extension of the acquisition system to manage thegrowing number of detectors. Therefore, the acquisition by CIEMAT of 13 high performance digitalizing cards similar to those that make up the N_TOF experiment acquisition system, which allow to increase the acquisition of data during the experiments, is necessaryof 13 high performance digitalizing cards for the N_TOF data acquisition system, financed with funds from the recovery, transformation and resilienceEffective neutronics.
