This reference involves performing analyzes of monomers, additives, and non-intentionally added substances related to food contact materials. The analyzes of materials intended for contact with food cover the study of matrices of a very diverse nature, including plastics, silicones, rubbers, coatings, adhesives, etc. The multitude of substances used in their production, as well as others that are generated in the manufacturing processes, or during the useful life of the material or present as impurities, represents an analytical challenge for their identification, and requires the availability of scientific equipment with advanced technology to respond to the existing regulations whose objective is guarantee consumer safety (Regulation (EC) 1935/2004.
