- Description of the service: The object of this contract is the supply of biocidal products necessary to carry out the 2026 Public Health campaign in the municipalities of Baix Ebre and Montsià. The disinsection campaigns in the network of sewers in the municipalities of Baix Ebre and Montsià have as their main objective the control of the populations of Periplaneta americana that live there, so that they cannot create any public health problems for the population. The environmental conditions in the sewer network is ideal for the great development of the pest, on the one hand, the abundance of organic matter existing in the network (the basis of the feeding of these insects), on the other hand, a high level of relative humidity (100%), and on the other hand, the protection that the network gives them against natural predators, guarantee the success in the colonization of this space by the American Periplaneta. The high appeal of the biocidal gels by Periplaneta, the resistance of these formulations to fungi, bacteria and yeasts present in the sewer network, make these formulations highly recommended for the control of Periplaneta in the sanitation network.
