Description:
The University of Zaragoza, for the development of the lines of research developed at the Engineering Research Institute of Aragon (I3A), has the need to expand and update the high-performance scientific computing infrastructure of this institute to respond to the growing processing requirements derived from the research projects currently underway and the new strategic lines identified by the research groups. Specifically, the supply of a high-performance computing system that has, at the same time, less, with four computing nodes equipped with large memory GPUs and eight nodes with lower capacity GPUs, as well as the interconnection elements necessary for their integration with the institute's current HPC systems. This acquisition will allow us to address projects that require capacity intensive computing, especially in areas such as deep learning and artificial intelligence, advanced numerical simulations, analysis of large volumes of data or computational modeling, ensuring the scientific competitiveness of the university and the adequate provision of services to the research groups.
