- It includes all the ophthalmology operating rooms of the centers attached to SERIS, located both in the San Pedro de Logrono University Hospital and in the Calahorra Hospital, integrated into this autonomous body since 2024, and, where appropriate, in any other health center attached to SERIS. to be enabled as an ophthalmology operating room.
The content of the contract goes beyond the supply of implants and specific consumables and has been proposed as a file that includes everything necessary to carry out ophthalmology surgical procedures, therefore which also includes the transfer of electromedical equipment used during interventions, with the aim of providing the service with state-of-the-art equipment.
The continuous advances in the knowledge and technology of ophthalmology, of extraordinary complexity, also require of the continuous training of specialists, the periodic updating of the equipment, so that it incorporates the appropriate technological innovations.
Consequently, five pieces of equipment with state-of-the-art technology are integrated into lot No. 1: two phacoemulsifiers for cataract surgery and three vitreotomes for combined vitrectomy and cataract surgery. The transfer of the equipment includes the supply of the accessories necessary for its correct use, such as handpieces, and their comprehensive maintenance.
