- The Universitat Politècnica de València (UPV) has a laptop loan service aimed at guaranteeing that all students can access digital teaching resources and the necessary tools under equal conditions. for the development of their academic activity. This service constitutes a key element to minimize the digital divide and ensure that no student is excluded due to lack of adequate technological means. In recent years, a significant part of the laptop fleet currently available has reached the end of its technological useful life. Specifically, many computers cannot be updated to the Windows 11 operating system as they do not meet the minimum security and hardware requirements, among which stands out the absence of TPM 2.0 modules or other functionalities necessary to guarantee secure boot, system integrity and data protection.
