Description:
The purpose of this document is to define the necessary technical conditions that will govern the contracting of fixed and mobile telecommunications services, data and Internet access for the University of the Balearic Islands, as well as the integration of a communications tool unified.
With this contract, the University of the Balearic Islands has the objective of achieving an improvement, both technical and economic, with respect to the current contract for these telecommunications services, and of adapting these services to current and anticipated future needs.
Broadly speaking, The general objectives to achieve are:
Adapt telecommunications services to real needs, always considering possible future demands for services.
Optimize spending on telecommunications.
Implement quality and redundant services to obtain a high level of availability.
Maintain the integration of fixed and mobile telephony.
Integrate Microsoft's unified communications solution, specifically Teams Phone, with the fixed and mobile telephony solution for all administration and services staff (PTGAS) and teaching and research staff (PDI) from the University of the Balearic Islands.
Cover the growing telecommunications needs of the different centers of the University.
Maintain, administer and manage services.
