description: The Availability of Water in Much of the River Basin District of Catalonia Is Force Adjusted Due to the Great Variability of Water Resources and the Important Magnitude Represented by Water Demands, in Relation to These Resources. The Set of Reservoirs of the Ter River (SauAnd Susqueda), Of The Llobregat River (La Llosa Del Cavall, Sant Ponc And La Baells) And Of The Muga River (Darnius Boadella) Allow To Store A Total Maximum Volume Of 673.17Hm3. These Reservoirs Are the Origin of the Regulation of Volumes, Among Others, of Supply to the Population of the Muga Area, Ter and Systemin Ter-Llobregat. The Maximum Volume Indicated Is Less Than The Maximum Volume From The Construction Of Each Dam. This reduction is due to the transport of sediments from the headwater basins to each reservoir. The Dams Were Built Several Decades Ago, And Since Then Sediment Has Accumulated In The Fons of the reservoir. In 2001, an agreement was formalized between the Catalan Water Agency (Aca) and the Centro De Estudios Y Experimentacion De Obras Publicas (Cedex) for the realization of bathymetric and sedimentological studies of the reservoirs of Siurana, Foix , Darnius Boadella, Sant Ponc, La Baells I Sau. The New Curves Level-Volume and Level-Surface of a Reservoir Is the Result of Carrying Out Bathymetry for the Submerged Part, and Topographic Surveys for the Emerged Part, Thus Sweeping the Entire Wet Surface of the Reservoir at the Maximum Probable Level.
