- Description:
- The purpose of this project is to develop at the Construction Project level the action of the unfolding of the Nadela-Sarria corridor in the Nadela-Pobra section of San Xiao (CG-2.2), that is, between KP 0+000 and 13+500. This section begins at Nadela roundabout and ends at the A Pobra de San Xiao junction (PK 13+500), linking with the Pobra de San Xiao-Sarria section, already in service with highway characteristics. The duplication of the corridor is contemplated as a new road parallel to the existing on the left shoulder, in the direction of station advance, so that it will not be necessary to change the shoulder in any area of the route to undertake the roadway splitting. A design speed for the highway trunk of 120 km/h is adopted, so that its technical characteristics correspond to a section of the A-120 highway. The construction of this new infrastructure will improve the safety and comfort conditions of the vehicles that circulate through the current corridor CG-2.2, with a notable increase in the capacity and service levels of the itinerary and a clear improvement in road safety, with a significant reduction in accidents and travel times expected.
